BUILT TO LAST
Ditting is the world’s most trusted producer of high-volume retail coffee grinders, flat burrs, and built-in components. Our doors first opened in 1928, and we haven’t stopped working for roasters, retailers and labs since.
We set out to engineer the most precise, reliable, and hard-working grinders in the industry. Today, our customers report that their decades-old Ditting grinders are still running, passed down through generations.
Ditting’s legacy of long-lasting grinders and enduring performance is something we’re deeply proud of, and we’re committed to maintaining it through continued innovation and excellence in engineering.
Ditting began in 1928 as an engineering firm for the automotive industry in Zurich, Switzerland. In 1954, we found our true calling at the forefront of an emerging sector: electric coffee grinders. Over the coming decades, Ditting grinders became commonplace in coffee roasteries and grocery stores around the world.
In 1999, we conducted our first partnership with Mahlkönig, another renowned German grinder maker. Due to the success of the partnership, in 2008 we merged to form the Hemro Group, cementing our place as the world’s most celebrated group of coffee grinding brands and experts.
Today, Ditting grinders are sold and distributed in 70+ countries, and our burrs and built-in grinders power coffee equipment in many more. The Ditting legacy continues to evolve, but our commitment to excellence is unwavering.
