15kg Used Coffee Roaster - Ghibli 15 by Coffee-Tech Engineering

DISCOUNTED TO MOVE IT OUT!

Roaster and Afterburner Combo
Crating Included!

Here's an incredible 15-kilo roasting machine from an award-winning company in Israel known for sophisticated, well-made coffee roasting equipment. Take a hard look at this offer. This package includes a matched, high-end, custom-built afterburner. (See pictures.)

One-time owner has put a lot of extras and upgrades into this machine which reportedly puts out a consistent, beautiful roast.

The machine was last used in July 2023. It is decommissioned and disassembled, ready for freight prep. The current owner is letting it go as they've upgraded to a larger machine.

Equipment Detail: This Coffee-Tech Engineering 15kg Ghibli 15 coffee roaster was manufactured in 2012. The afterburner was designed and manufactured separately by Combustion Solutions Inc. out of Squamish, Canada. The roaster and afterburner were installed and maintained by Combustion Solutions and have "Site Appliance Approval" as a single system. Engineering drawings and associated documentation will be provided to support your installation process.

The roaster has a 15kg capacity and works well with 10-12kg sized batches. This 2012 model was purchased new in 2015, so there was no time on it for the first three years. One-time owner upgraded the burner for full modulation. New burner element from OEM supplier. The roaster also has variable airflow and drum speed.

This Ghibli 15 has two probes, one for bean temperature and another for drum air temperature. It also has three unused optional probe ports for exhaust air, bean temperature (original location), and drum air. The probes are connected to a 1048 Phidget, making it compatible with third-party roast profile software like Cropster, Roastmaster, Artisan, etc.

The drum was upgraded from stock to Coffee-Tech Engineering “Vortex Drum.” Gearboxes for drum and cooling agitators were both upgraded to high-quality Italian units (see picture). This machine has a very powerful cooling fan to get those roasted beans down quickly to ambient temperature.

Afterburner is a thermo-catalytic oxidizer with combustion analysis ports above and below the catalyst. The vessel is double insulated. Operating temperature ~470°C, safety shutoff limit 600°C. Recent combustion analysis results are available on request. Exhaust regularly tests at 0 ppm CO and no complaints of smell from neighbors.

The catalyst element is manufactured in WI, USA, and is easily removable for inspection and cleaning.

Approximately 12' of chimney comes with this package.

FAQ

Once a Used Elite equipment sale has transacted, what’s involved in relocating the equipment?

Once the seller confirms full payment has been received, CEPros will move on the previously scheduled equipment prep and engage the crating company and freight company. Or, if optioned, CEPros will facilitate a buyer pick-up.

CEPros requires crating companies to take photos of the equipment crating that are reviewed and approved by us before freight is scheduled.
This assures a safe equipment transport.

Once the crating photos have been approved, CEPros notifies the buyer the equipment is ready to ship and confirms the delivery address and buyer's schedule.

All shipments are insured and include an appointment delivery time that works with your schedule.
