SCA Expo 2025 Recap
Well, that was fun!
We’re just now coming down from the high of exhibiting at the SCA Coffee Expo April 25-27, 2025. Houston definitely did not disappoint! The super-sized Texas city was the perfect setting for the largest coffee trade show in North America.
In fact, according to industry media reports, it was the largest Expo yet, with 17,000+ attendees from 85 countries, more than 600 exhibitors (including us!), plus the popular Roaster Village marketplace, workshops, lectures, and competitions, including the World Coffee Roasting Championship.
Most importantly for us, the show was a fantastic opportunity to connect with show attendees, our customers and vendors, and showcase our latest equipment, including the 3kg Air-Motion Roaster (as its exclusive North American distributor).
This approximately 6-minute video offers a quick look back. Of the roughly 1,260 minutes we spent on the showroom floor with attendees, this quick recap accounts for about 1/2 of a percent of our time. We hope you enjoy everything we have packed into it!
Building Connections
From the moment the doors opened, we engaged with roasters, vendors, potential customers, coffee professionals, and industry innovators. The energy was inspiring, and the conversations were invaluable. We’re grateful to everyone who stopped by to share their stories, ideas, excitement over the Air-Motion Roaster, and other feedback.
Showcasing Innovation
Our team proudly displayed our top equipment, including the AMR 3 and custom AirSift destoner, the Haitec “mini” K-cup filler and sealer, and the AAE Portable Destoner. The response was incredible—many visitors expressed interest, and we’re excited to build on these new relationships.
In fact, we sold 3 AMR 3kg’s as a result of our booth demonstrations, thanks in large part to Air-Motion Roasters’ founders Julian and Andie Platt (in from Johannesburg) joining us all weekend. The weekend absolutely would not have been the same without them here.
We also helped excited customers place orders for the Haitec “mini” and AAE Portabler Destoner. It was a great weekend!
AAE Portable Destoner Giveaway
We were thrilled to feature an AAE Portable Destoner in our booth, thanks to our collab with vendor AAE/Coffee Loaders, and offer it in a giveaway at the end of the weekend. This state-of-the-art destoner generated interest among attendees, with lucky winners Armadillo Coffee Roasters winning our random drawing.

Media Interest
Our booth, highlighted by the innovative AMR 3 3kg Air-Motion Roaster, drew notable attention from industry media. Representatives from Daily Coffee News (DCN), Barista Magazine, and Sprudge.com stopped by to check out our setup. We were pleased to receive a mention in a recent DCN SCA Expo article, and there’s a larger feature on the horizon. We’ll keep you posted.
Looking Ahead
This was just the beginning! We’re energized by the connections made and the enthusiasm shared among everyone we met. Stay tuned for exciting new product offerings and innovative programs to support you even more in your roasting journey.
And if you attended the Expo and stopped by to say hi, thank you for being part of our first SCA Expo experience. The event is being rebranded as the World of Coffee in San Diego next year (April 10-12, 2026), and we might just be there!
We look forward to growing with you and making an even bigger impact in the coffee community. As always, we do what we do Because Roasters Need To Roast.™
